HOME	The Hayes  Pulling Team  A Family Tradition which started in 1964 The Hayes Pulling team has been setting the standard in New York tractor pulling since 1964. James E. Hayes, the founder of the team, started pulling at the Fonda Fair as one of the first pullers and in 1969 became an original member of the New York Tractor Pullers Association. In 1969, James and his son Richard began pulling out of state along with local events.  In 1974 James purchased a pair of Firestone 30.5 x 32 tires for the Farmall 806, mounted on large steel wheels.  These tires were the first large tires to be used for pulling in the upstate New York area - possibly even the first in all of New York .  The Hayes family has led the way since with innovation and a strong presence in the circuit ever since.  Today, the Hayes team is composed of Jim’s sons Kim and Mark, the drivers of the Iron Eagle and Supernatural.  With a tradition of excellence, we continue to lead the way with innovation and performance.   A Family Tradition which started in 1964
